Linda Severt is a uniquely versatile songwriter and performer, effortlessly blending contemporary folk, blues, jazz, classical,
world, country, and Americana into a nuanced style all her own.
A gifted multi-instrumentalist, Linda lived in many different countries growing up, and her arrangements often make innovative use of instruments and rhythms from around the world. Her songs, too, are full of surprises, covering the emotional gamut, from wry to raucous to tender.

Linda performs and records solo, as well as in a duo with the brilliant Kathleen Tracy. Linda was a five-year member/co-producer/co-writer with the Laura Love Band and Venus Envy. When in Seattle, she partipates in the Integrated Music program in local hospitals, performing for patients and their families. For the past 20 years, she has also performed and toured extensively as a sought-after family entertainer.

Praise for Linda Severt and
Kathleen Tracy’s CD, “So Bodaciously”:

“They’ve got everything from Hindu to Hillbilly on this one, and
it just cooks!”
– Laura Love

“Taking full advantage of the eclectic range of musical textures at hand, Tracy and Severt create inventive arrangements that cross stylistic boundaries with ease and grace.”
– Victory Review

“From the conscious word play of ‘Get Up, Get Down, Get Back Up Blues’ to the classical-ballad-mocking-style of ‘Spanish Love Thing,’ Severt’s burnished voice does justice to her sense of humor and genre literacy, while throwing in a tune or two with honest romantic feeling and sincere political consciousness.”
– Sing Out! Magazine
